Mount Lofty House Estate - Adults Retreat

Quite possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, which after a busy day was much appreciated. The house itself is lovely & the staff are fantastic. Everyone was always welcoming & friendly. The chocolate chip cookies on arrival went down a treat. We got a history of the house from Will, which was very interesting & added to the experience of our stay. Breakfast was delicious & the view was gorgeous. Would strongly recommend either for work or leisure.

Beautiful, elegant accomodation with above average service from a number of personable and helpful staff. Really enjoyed the welcome drinks/history tour. Cookies were a nice bonus. Both restaurants on site are excellent so there’s no need to leave for dinners, particularly if celebrating a special occasion.

While intellectually anticipated, Mount Lofty House was still an emotional revelation. The hotel seamlessly blends sophistication, comfort, style, and old-world charm into a superb getaway package. Reception was warm, the room classily cozy, the grounds gorgeous, and Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant a culinary tour-de-force. Special mention has to go to Christopher, and the unmissable House History Tour. He really brings local lore to life and is very generous with cocktails and wine to oil the gears as you meander through the homestead. While the morning-after breakfast may not quite rise to the lofty heights of the preceding day, the overall stay is exemplary! My congratulations to owners, staff, and the Chef.

What a magnificent venue in the glorious hills of Adelaide. After a seamless check in by front of house, Will, the day started with a presentation on the history of Mount Lofty Estate - nice work again Will! The surrounds are matched by the wine and food menu and the friendliness of every staff member who goes out of their way to make your stay so memorable. Will definitely be back again.

Beautiful landscape. Perhaps the cleanliness and service in the rooms could be improved. Anyway, beautiful.

Dissapointing. Very pricey and got a room with a view of a wall. If youre their when they have a wedding on god help you. Having said that the restaurant is great. Stick to that and youll be fine

My husband & I stayed here for our 1 year wedding anniversary, it was lovely. However the main reason for our stay being so pleasant was because of Christopher, truly the best person at the mount lofty estate. He’s so kind, gave us a tour around the history of the house & helped us with an issue we had regarding miscommunication/booking error that we were very upset about. He made our anniversary feel so special. Thank you very much Christopher! 5 stars for YOU, we wish you the best.
