There was no aspect of my experience which was not superb. The room and view is ideal. The shower is the best I have experienced in a hotel, and the bed… I wanted to smuggle the mattress out and elope with it. The best sleep I have had in some time. Lifts that work and speedily, staff who are genuinely interested. Design features that are well thought and practical rather than just pretty make for an experience which was memorable. And do not get me started on the genius of location. Brilliant!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Oval Hotel Adelaide….the location alone is next level. You are literally inside the stadium, which for footy is unbeatable. There is honestly nowhere else in Australia that compares. The experience started strong with clear and easy car park instructions sent prior to arrival. The car park attendant who directed me to valet (an older gentleman) delivered some of the best service I’ve seen in a long time just a genuinely kind and welcoming person. Check-in is on level 3, and the lobby is beautiful with incredible views both into the stadium and out to the surrounding parklands. We were offered a welcome drink on arrival, even allowing us to have it later on, such a nice touch and also had two complimentary bottles of water waiting in the room. We booked a basic room and it had everything you need modern, clean, and really comfortable, with a great view over the parklands. The best part? Game time. You simply jump in the lift and you’re already inside the stadium. It doesn’t get better than that. The only slight downside (and not really the hotel’s fault) is that after the game, the lifts are shared with stadium guests heading to the car park. I understand with crowds this may need to happen but I feel it needs to be reviewed. We had an unfortunate interaction with an older guy who was an Adelaide supporter who made a comment calling us “sooks” as we got into the lift. He then swore aggressively at us for no reason. We hadn’t said a word it was the mere colour of my scarf that set him off. Anyone would know St Kilda supporters who had travelled from Melbourne are obviously passionate about our team and disappointed after a loss so it felt pretty unnecessary and took the shine off the moment a little. Not drunk either just poor form. I would never behave this way to an interstate fan when back home at Marval. Overall, I absolutely love this place and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Cool hotel by the stadium. Very nice restaurant with a bar. Everything is top-notch.
