Great Location Close to Everything

My husband and I just finished our umpteenth holiday in Cairns in April, 2026. We love staying at Lake Central Cairns. It is our home away from home. While the apartments are nothing flash, we have always found the rooms to be clean on arrival, the beds are comfortable and the shower head has the best water pressure we've ever experienced. The staff are friendly and approachable. The location is central to all the places we frequent: the Esplanade pool, the Casino and Woolworths to name a few. This is a real gem of a place at an affordable price.

great little accommodation that was perfect for our needs. Super close to Cairns Central and to the Pullman hotel and casino near the esplanade where we needed to be for our year 12 graduation night.

I stayed 5 month, longer term room was perfect. Loved my stayed here and the Admin, service and managment was incredible good! And the location is TOP! I will be back

We had a 2 bedroom apartment, the aircon in the lounge room was loud and did not cool the room down even after 3 days of running. The fan had thick dust all over it. The main bedroom had mould on the roof, blood stains on the sheet, paper thin pillows. My daughter woke up after the first night there with a bed bug on her bed.The bathroom had mould and If you turned the shower on too hard, the pressure of the water was like being under a pressure cleaner and would take a layer of skin off and if you didn’t turn the shower on hard enough, it would make the pipes screech. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Walking distance to everything[ The Esplanade, the pier, casino, night markets etc]

Rooms are very basic. Maybe a good clean out as there were ants and roaches. Room service were non existing. We were 3 guests staying and the room facilities such as enough milk sachets, fresh towels, extra toilet rolls etc, were not provided. Good location and close to the Esplanade.

Value for money. Have all the necessities. Love the location. Walkable to everywhere yet, it's quite part of city central. Would stay here again
