What reviewers say

SCU Village is praised as a convenient residence for university students, particularly for its proximity to the CHEC. However, multiple reviews describe the accommodation as run-down and unsanitary, citing issues with stains, bugs, missing fixtures, and unpleasant odors, with some finding the online advertising misleading.

Refuge camp style accommodation, created due to AirBNB and negative gearing, leaving potential local student share houses empty. The interiors of the 16 Apartments are painted in horrible pastel colours, with dirty grey carpets and repressive brick walls. It's an interior design nightmare created by an architectual fashion victim. The manger, Lynda Eather, put me in a mouldy room I got sick in at first, and thought it was funny when I asked to move rooms. Her favourite thing she told me, was to "put people together in apartments that won't get along" she says she enjoys the fireworks 😒 I call that irresponsible management. WiFi is ok and I was able to complete my Tourism Units under duress. Turning a negative into a positive, I met some nice students there, and we will remain friends.

Carpets, furniture and curtains were stained, filthy and old, place was infested with bugs, room pricing was ridiculous, a WHOLE VANITY from the bathroom was missing - replaced with cheap metal shelves on wall, everything was worn out, stoves were rusty, no oven, no TV, as shown online, rooms stink, false online advertising beyond measure. (Two photos provided, my room compared to what is shown online.)
