Delhi Queer Pride
About This Event
Delhi Queer Pride is the capital's main Pride march. The first was on 30 June 2008, when a few hundred people walked. Volunteers on the Delhi Queer Pride Committee run it and pay for it through community funding. The committee doesn't take corporate sponsorship, so there are no brand floats.
The march is usually on the last Sunday of November. People gather near Barakhamba Road metro station in Connaught Place in the late morning, walk along Tolstoy Marg to Jantar Mantar, Delhi's protest street, and finish by early afternoon. The placards are political: marriage equality, trans rights and wider causes. In 2023 marchers also showed support for Palestine.
It is free and you don't need to register. Get there by 11am. Barakhamba Road station on the Blue Line drops you at the start.
The last edition broke the usual pattern. The November 2025 march was postponed and finally held on Sunday 8 February 2026, the 16th edition. Turnout estimates ranged from about a thousand to a few thousand. The 2026 date hadn't been announced when we checked. If the committee goes back to November, the march would be on the last Sunday of the month, but that isn't confirmed.

Practical Tips
Assemble by 1 p.m. even though the march moves later.
Carry a photo ID; central Delhi checkpoints spot-check during marches.
After Jantar Mantar, Connaught Place is a 5-min walk for post-parade chai.
