Auckland Pride 2027

Auckland Pride, New Zealand's biggest LGBTQ+ festival, runs for a week each February. After a huge fight and a rebuild in 2018-2019 — one of the most radical overhauls of any major Pride event anywhere — it came back as a festival run by the community. The focus is on Polynesian, Maori, and Asian LGBTQ+ voices, alongside everyone else in the rainbow community.

The Pride March, on a Saturday evening down Ponsonby Road, feels more like a ceremony now than a corporate parade. During the week, you'll find gigs, comedy, drag brunches, film screenings, and the annual Queer Ball. February in Auckland is warm, so outdoor stuff is a big deal.
