What reviewers say

Visitors praise Squidos for its vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and good value, especially for karaoke nights and generous seafood platters at a low price. However, many complain about slow service and inconsistent food quality, with some dishes described as basic or disappointing, and one reviewer noted a difference in treatment between Filipino and foreign customers.

About this place Squidos

Squidos, in El Nido, Philippines, is two gay restaurants: one in town, one on a hill. Both do food. Both do drinks. And both are exactly what you want when you want them.

The original Squidos is right on the Taytay-El Nido National Highway. It's a relaxed spot, the kind of casual, explorer-style restaurant you find all over Southeast Asia, with widescreen TVs going all day. The menu is big and varied enough that you'll always find something to order.

About a mile north of town, Squidos Hilltop has a totally different vibe. This is where you go for sunset and live music. The crowd gathers as the sun goes down, and the food and drinks are good enough to keep you there as the evening rolls on.

As one of El Nido's main LGBTQ+ spots, Squidos gives gay travelers a comfortable place to eat and hang out. You get two venues, two moods: a quick meal and some distraction in town, or a long, atmospheric evening on the hill. It just works.

We had breakfast and were the only ones in there. Service was fast. Food was very basic but at a good price.
