The Resort Bayview Hotel
Visitors frequently praise the resort's beautiful bay views, especially during sunset, and the friendly, helpful staff. However, common complaints include ongoing construction noise and smells in the bathroom, as well as rooms being dated or in need of repair. Some guests also found the location inconvenient and expensive to travel from.

El Nido bayview is a lovely resort with million dollar views. We had the forest view room no 101. Comfy bed, good size bathroom with rainshower. We read other reviews bout construction noise, we only heard hammering from about 8am but we were out everyday. There was always a bad smell in the bathroom even though they tried to clean it. Food here is not good. There are plenty good restaurants in town. Well worth the 300 pecos tut tut ride. Barracuda is a must do. And lovely little breakfast cafe Brunch El Nido. Salon/nails/ massage 2 doors down from the cafe was incredible. Highlight of our trip was the island hopping. The staff are lovely however we had to ask many times for things.
DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT!! We stayed at this resort for our honeymoon and last destination in Phillipines and this was our biggest mistake. We travelled in may 2026. 1.) The room was advertised as jungle view, but to our surprise, there is construction going on and the view was completely blocked by black sheets. When asked for a room change considering this was our honeymoon, the staff advised that room change would incure a cost. WHAT A SHAME. 2.) The room itself is pathetic. The side tables are so small that it only fits the room telephone, can’t even keep your drink bottle. No bottled water is provided in the rooms. There is nothing else to sit on except the bed. No mini sofa or even a chair in the room. There was not even a dustin in the room. Just one in the bathroom. Also, be prepared to wash your face with muddy brown water as that’s what was seen by us on our 3 nights we stayed there. 3.) The food is pathetic. The breakfast buffet is a joke. I have never paid so much & only received like 2-3 main items. A small portion of fruits and instant coffee!!?? I understand what to expect if I pay less but for the price we payed to stay there? Absolutely horrible. Also, the buffet starts at 7am. I have again never visited a hotel in my life that too in Asia where the breakfast starts at 7am. This clearly shows how much the management cares about their guests. We had to leave at 6:30am for our flight and of course we had no options to eat at the resort. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza on our first night to munch on with the drinks but it was rock solid, and 100% was a frozen pizza. 4.) The location is not convenient at all. The hotel does not offer any shuttle services to the city centre. Expect to pay 150-200 pesos each pay for tricycle to make your way to and from the resort. Also, you have to take multiple stairs to get to your rooms, it was NOT ACCESSIBLE at all. Lastly, if you are reading this and thinking of booking the resort due to the sunset view, trust me and just come and spend an evening with a day pass. The sunset view alone cannot be the selling point for the resort to cash in without fixing any other major issues in the resort and not making their guests feel welcome. Also to add, I always noticed a lady who seemed to be a manager roam around the resort area. You need to learn to smile and make your guests feel welcome. Also, it would be nice to keep staff meetings in a meeting room Rather than the dining area where guests like to stay.
First time visiting Philippines and specifically for my honeymoon, El Nido Bay View Hotel made the trip extra special. The location although seems slightly isolated from town proper is perfect for those people who are looking to stay in relaxed surroundings but also having the options to visit beaches, bars and restaurants etc. The staffs were very kind and helpful in providing any necessary supports. Lastly, if you’re looking for the most underratedly if not the most beautiful sunset from El Nido, this hotel is the perfect place to visit. Thank you for making the trip memorable. Will come back soon.
The most picturesque sunset in El Nido
We just stayed for day tour kinda thing. Good for sunset.
The location is amazing sitting on top of the hill. The pool is magical with the lights and the best sunset view. Staff are also friendly. A bit of a hike, good for some exercise but not recommended for seniors or very small infants and toddlers, close enough to fast food and another famous beach so there are a lot of dining options
