Tirana Pride 2027
About This Event
Tirana Pride, Albania's biggest LGBTQ+ event, happens every May. It's put on by Aleanca LGBT. This is one of the fastest-growing Pride celebrations in the Western Balkans.
Back in the early 2010s, it started as a small, heavily policed gathering. Now, it pulls in around 2,000 people from Albania and other countries.
The 2026 event will stick to its usual plan: a march through central Tirana, then a cultural program. Expect music, speeches, and community acts.
Pride always falls in the same month when Albania's EU accession is usually reviewed. That gives it extra political weight, a sign of how healthy civil society is here. If you're an LGBTQ+ visitor, going to Pride isn't just a good time; it's a real show of support for Albania's queer community as it grows.

Practical Tips
Tirana Pride runs as a bike parade through the boulevard rather than a walking march — bring or rent a bike from a downtown shop.
