Crowne Plaza Minsk

We came from Russia for a week-long vacation. The room met our expectations, although we wish they'd cleaned it more often. Otherwise, we recommend it to everyone!

Very convenient location, a 10-minute walk from the train station. Clean rooms, check-in was quick. We even checked in before 2:00 PM (the hotel terms and conditions stated check-in was from 2:00 PM). Excellent restaurants: Empire on the 6th floor and Star on the 1st floor. Special thanks and a huge thank you to the restaurant staff, Arina and Ulyana. Attentive, efficient, and very pleasant. Thank you very much.

I don't write long reviews, but I'll let everyone know here so everyone understands how the hotel reception operates. We arrived at the hotel at 1:47 PM with our 8-year-old child. We had paid for the room in advance, fully expecting to be checked in. We were told to wait until 2:00 PM, or 13 minutes. I asked why the room wasn't ready. They told me it was, but that's the policy. I wasn't exactly surprised, but I was shocked. Wait a minute, this is a 5-star hotel! And then there's the whole thing! The receptionist (who was working at 2:00 PM on June 25) didn't tell me which side of the hotel the spa was, or anything pleasant at all. She looked like someone had died, and incorrectly said breakfast was until 10:00 AM, even though the next day it turned out to be until 10:30 AM, and until 11 AM on weekends. Not a word about it! At 11:30 PM, music started blasting terribly in room 328 (the one next to the casino). I called reception, and they said, "We don't know where the music is coming from, but it's PROBABLY coming from the casino!" I went outside and found out it was coming from the casino. I went to reception, and they told me they'd try to resolve the issue with the casino. And when they checked me in, why didn't anyone even think about it or talk about it?! So, when I checked out, I asked to leave my suitcases, since we were going to Brest for a day and then returning to his hotel. They immediately told me there were no spaces in the luggage room, and they didn't even try to find out any details, saying, "Let's leave them in the hallway." I said, "Are you crazy?" and a minute later they said, "Well, let's see if there's space," and there were more than enough. I didn't want to start whining, but this isn't how the reception department at a 5-star hotel works, where people are paying a lot of money. The hotel itself is wonderful, the spa is amazing! The breakfasts are fantastic!! But I definitely won't be returning because of the attitude of the accommodation department. They're not exactly welcoming, but on the contrary, they completely discourage you from approaching them!

I was absolutely shocked when I checked in here with my boyfriend in March. The staff was incredibly rude. The women only talked to my companions and didn't even pay attention to me, even though I was standing right next to him. I've never encountered such unprofessionalism at the reception desk of a 5-star hotel. It felt like the only people there who were friendly were those who weren't part of the management. I'd also like to point out the strange-looking staff – no uniforms, weird hairstyles, unkempt haircuts. I would never have thought management didn't care about their appearance if I hadn't seen it myself. And that's not to mention the staff smelled terrible!!! I can't tell if it was from the alcohol, dirty clothes, or the lack of basic hygiene. At one point, an older blonde woman started smelling like some kind of slop, making it impossible to be around her. 5 stars!!!!!!!!

We stayed two nights during our trip to Minsk. It's clear the hotel hasn't been renovated in years, but it's well-maintained. The bathrooms could have had a few more amenities (like toothbrushes and toothpaste, which we forgot), but they have a nice service of bringing these things upon request free of charge. Overall, everything was great, and the location is unbeatable!

This mediocre hotel shouldn't have any stars. Terrible service, old, tired rooms that are as cold as a crypt, but the minibar in the room heats everything up instead of cooling it. The sad, unresponsive receptionist insists that's how he's supposed to work, and even speaks rudely.

Good hotel. Convenient location. Quiet. The bed is excellent.

Your 5 stars are worth 3 at most. We arrived in Minsk on June 15th. Check-in was scheduled for 2:00 PM. We were tired from the seven-hour drive and arrived at 2:30 PM. We were met at reception by a disgruntled woman (a blonde with roots), I don't remember her name. She took our payment and told us to wait 10 minutes... and then! Attention! She said our room wasn't ready and that we'd have to wait at least another 40 minutes. We were upset because we'd arrived late anyway and wanted to shower quickly after our journey, plus we had plans to go to the bank that day. We were offered a room on the smoking floor. We declined because neither my friend nor I smoked and didn't want to inhale the smell. We'd booked the room two weeks in advance and it had been specified in the reservation as a non-smoking room. To which the woman, with a disgruntled expression, replied, "I don't have another room, what do you want?" I was outraged because it wasn't our fault they didn't have time to clean up... and overall, the "what do you want from me" approach isn't appropriate... and you took the money first and only then are you confronting us with the fait accompli!)) And no one apologized. They called the senior manager. A man arrived, a Turk, as I understand it... and then the icing on the cake!))) My friend explained the situation, to which the manager responded, "So what do you want? Make an offer." What, excuse me? We should offer you how to fix the situation? At that moment, I was, to put it mildly, stunned!)) 5 stars...))) In the end, my friend begged for a discount on a massage. And they sat us down to wait in the cafe and treated us to cappuccino and cheesecake... the manager didn't introduce himself or apologize. Moreover, he tried to explain that such situations are normal and "happens")) So what, so what... 1.5 hours late check-in. 45 minutes passed. Do you think someone came to the cafe and informed us that our room was ready and we could check in? Nope. We went back to reception ourselves, where they told us yes, we could check in. And the same disgruntled lady didn't apologize again. No one apologized, as expected. The hotel itself is outdated. Overall, it seems clean, but the atmosphere is Soviet. There were very few people. In the evening, I went down to the cafe and couldn't find the bartender for 15 minutes... There was mold in the bathroom in my room (see photo). The next day, we went to the pool... They didn't give me a towel, saying they were for paying visitors from outside (yes, people from outside go there to the spa and fitness center for an extra fee), and that you should bring your own towels from your room. Hmm, okay, but I got my towel wet in the pool, so what should I dry myself with in my room after I shower after the chlorinated pool??? ...they also asked for a swimming cap or a swim sash at the pool. I asked if they had any (with the intention of buying one, no problem). Imagine my shock when the woman brought me a used swimming cap and offered to borrow it... )))) Someone else's. swim cap. Used.))) So... draw your own conclusions. In my opinion, 3 stars for this establishment is a stretch.
