I'd like to describe in detail an extremely unpleasant situation that occurred during my last stay at this hotel. Late in the evening, my 10-year-old niece was brought to me because she urgently needed a place to stay overnight. Unfortunately, she didn't have her passport with her. I am her aunt. This led to an argument with the receptionist, Anika, who stated that she couldn't help, and that if there was nowhere for the child to stay, we would have to find another place or "choose to sleep on the street." We found a solution: we agreed to bring her passport. However, about 10 minutes later, the receptionist called the room and said that even if they brought the passport, she still wouldn't check the child in. I replied that in that case, my niece would simply stay with me until 11:00 PM, as permitted by the hotel's guest policies. When we went down to the restaurant, it turned out the receptionist had already called the police and even called another station. According to her, the minor child was staying with his aunt and not his biological father. Meanwhile, no one asked us for any additional documents: they didn't clarify the relationship, didn't ask for family documents, and made no attempt to understand the situation. No one was interested in the passport of the child, who was about to be brought in. On the one hand, I understand and respect the concern for children's safety. But in this situation, the receptionist's actions appeared extremely unprofessional: decisions changed several times, no one tried to calmly check the documents or understand the situation, and instead, the police were immediately called. After which, they simply disappeared. This is very disappointing, because this used to be my favorite hotel in Minsk. I was always very pleased with the attitude, the service, and the assistance. I've stayed here many times and have always been happy to recommend it to my friends. Unfortunately, after this experience I don't want to come back here anymore.
Great location, very good service.
It's best not to choose this place to stay. The staff is blunt, rude, and completely unfocused. It's completely changed my attitude toward Hilton hotels to a negative one.
What I liked most was the hotel's location and the history of the place (it used to be the Trinity Basilian Monastery). The rooms are standard, without any special features (except for the paintings). It seemed like the rooms were rarely and poorly cleaned.
Disgusting hotel. They demand payment in advance at their internal rate. Well, then stay at your own place.
I used to travel to Curio Minsk with family. Liked hotel a lot. Our room was very nice and comfortable, breakfast was delicious. On reception specials desk for kids :) I would like to say special thanks to hotel GM Ms.Gaukhar Nurgaliyeva for her attention during our stay.
