About this place Café Kuchenkultur

Café Kuchenkultur is an LGBTQ+-friendly cake shop and café in Berlin's Schöneberg, founded in 2011 by two Lebanese brothers.

They’re known for baking that pulls from international recipes, and for doing it well. The display case always has a different lineup of homemade cakes: nut, fruit, cream, chocolate, coconut—whatever they're feeling that day. The owners say they bake with "love and creativity," which sounds like marketing fluff, but the cakes themselves usually deliver.

Berlin's café scene is a real thing, and this place slots right into the easygoing, creative vibe you find in a lot of LGBTQ+-friendly neighborhoods. It's on Großbeerenstraße in Schöneberg, a perfectly comfortable spot for a slice and coffee in a gay-friendly setting. The owners' personal touch and international background come through in the space, making it feel like a real neighborhood spot.

If you're after good cake, a casual breakfast, or just want to back a queer-owned business, it's a solid bet. Find more at kuchenkultur.de.

Even without pre-ordering, we still got a great birthday cake today 😅 Thank you so much for your flexibility!

A small, super cozy café with really friendly staff. We had a wonderful afternoon and will definitely come back – next time without our knitting, so we have our hands free for cake forks 😉 The cake looked really good!

Very nice service…very friendly and accommodating. Espresso rather mediocre…very watery and bitter. The men's restroom was practically unusable…the toilet paper by the toilet bowl was empty, but there was a damp roll by the sink (for drying hands?)…and this at lunchtime…yuck! The cleaning staff should also take a look at the electrical outlets in the room itself…very dirty. No…one automatically wonders what the kitchen is like!

I came here after reading the reviews, and I'm so glad I did! We really liked it; the staff are friendly and welcoming 💐 It's a place you absolutely must visit, not just if you're passing by.
