via Stay22About this place Habibi
Habibi is a Lebanese and Middle Eastern takeaway in Schöneberg, a gay quarter full of cafés and places to meet up.
This little spot does affordable, good Middle Eastern food: fresh falafel, kibbeh, tabbouleh, colorful salads, plus doner kebabs. It’s where you go for satisfying, unpretentious food that won't empty your wallet.
The space is small and simple. You can eat at one of the few indoor tables, or sit outside and watch people go by on Winterfeldtplatz. It’s a good spot if you’re out exploring: just a 30-second walk from other gay hangouts like Café Berio and Impala. Easy to grab a quick bite between drinks or before meeting friends. Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn is closest.
If you like it, there's another Habibi further south on Goltzstraße at Akazienstraße 9.

The place is simply great, delicious food, I've been going there for years.
I really don't understand the hype. I've traveled in the Middle East several times and I'm surprised that people eat food from there here. The food tastes bland and somehow not fresh. I've been here several times because it's always crowded and I want to understand. But I don't. The only thing I liked was the falafel. Really nice shawarma and fresh salads can be found a few meters away at Jiddoh – cheaper and with a smile, too.
Habibi! :)
