Location 10. Service 10. Base room is absolute garbage. Felt like motel 6. AC is not strong enough. Bathroom water temperatures are completely retarded. 95% of the dial is scolding hot water and 5% is cold water. So to get to the ideal “warm” setting, you’d have to work within 2 degrees. Otherwise, scolding hot water. This is completely unacceptable for a claimed 5 star hotel. Not sure how they were allowed in SLH brand. If you want the super prime location but true 5 star lux, stay half block away at Park Hyatt Milan.
As a frequent traveler, I’ve never experienced this level of service before. Outstanding
We had a wonderful stay at Galleria Vik Milano. The location is simply unbeatable, right inside the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and just steps from the Duomo. The hotel has a unique artistic character, with beautifully designed rooms and an atmosphere unlike any other. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the overall experience made our time in Milan truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a distinctive and unforgettable stay in the heart of the city.
A hotel located in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. That is both an advantage and a disadvantage. The advantage is the excellent and stylish location. The disadvantage is that, due to its long history, it looks a bit worn. However, it does feel like it has undergone a complete renovation. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean, and there are handwritten notes from the staff. They provide a welcome dessert, and the mini-bar in the refrigerator is available for use without extra charge. Another feature is that they collaborate with artists, with a specific artist's work displayed in each room. It seemed like they also produced their own wine, and I regretted not being able to try it. It appears that breakfast is served to your room upon request. I ate in the restaurant, and the variety was good, and the taste was quite excellent.
An exceptional location, an exceptional hotel, and exceptional service.
My wife and I stayed here recently. Before we went, I read all the reviews and overall they are pretty correct. The air conditioning and internet were not great. If those are deal breakers for you, stay somewhere else. That said, I consider myself pretty heat sensitive and don't recall having a big problem with the room temperature in mid may with highs in the low 90s. Those things aside, the hotel is pretty awesome. The location is literally unbeatable. The view from our room was literally into the galleria. The bathroom was clean and huge. My wife and I really enjoyed being able to take a bubble bath open the windows and hear the bustle of the galleria below. I think we got our money worth and would stay here again.
