Hotel Sonia

The rooms are very small, dirty, the reception is bad, there is no refrigerator in the rooms, the breakfast is awful.

A quadruple room with ensuite bathroom at this price is hard to find anywhere else. Excellent check-in service with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, the bathroom had a nice, large shower, and all the linens were complete. Nothing to complain about. If I ever need to be in Trieste again, I'll definitely consider this as my first choice.

If you want to unwind and indulge in the true pleasure of relaxation, Hotel Sonia is just the thing for you. A quiet and relaxing spot not far from the city center, it's a place worth stopping to recharge.

Terrible experience from start to finish. I had to wait half an hour for my room, and in that time I saw that other guests had also had problems (reservations not found, keys to rooms already occupied, documents mixed up with those for other rooms, etc.). The room was simple and small, but not clean and poorly maintained: smudges on the walls, black spots on the bed, a loose toilet seat. Breakfast was decent, but lunch and dinner were always the same reheated items (stuffed cannelloni served three days in a row, the last time the food tasted like plastic), with very little variety and terrible quality (raw pasta, burnt chicken, etc.).

Dirty, unacceptable breakfast and lunch, rampant rudeness, too expensive for minimal services

Small rooms. Poor breakfast, limited selection, and low-quality products. You can get to the city center by bus, but it's about 40 minutes. Only public parking is available, but there was always a space. There's a bar, and you can buy wine or beer, but with a long siesta break. The staff spoke limited English. The main advantage is the price.

We stayed only one night. The room wasn't very clean; there were crumbs on the floor and it was dirty. Dust and hair were visible under the bathroom door. The windowless bathroom smelled damp. We paid €30 to park our car in an unattended parking lot facing the hotel, located under a ring road bridge, accessed via a barrier. The parking fee is much higher than the service provided, and there are no other parking spaces.

The staff at the reception are terribly unfriendly. The rooms are dirty. We were greeted by a dirty pillow with a sneaker on it. On top of that, they charge 30e per day for parking. The parking lot is across the street from the hotel, under the bridge. We are very disappointed. Rating 0.
