Historic Trieste trattoria. The management has changed, and I'm downgrading this place from a 5-star to a "not worth visiting" one. I returned a fourth time because I'd written a scathing review. Unfortunately, once again, with the place partially empty and with four people behind the counter, I wasn't served for quite a long time. UNACCEPTABLE. At least a nod of hello would have been enough. Not even that! On my first visit, I had an acceptable sandwich. On my fourth visit, they first forgot(!) my order, then, after a lot of waving, they brought the dish I ordered, which was still the wrong one. N.B.: The place was far from full. I strongly advise against it.

The Jota soup was lukewarm and consisted only of sauerkraut and beans.

I could sum it up by saying it's no longer the place it once was. The dishes have become touristy, and there's a lack of attention to quality: the roast beef was cut thick enough to resemble a rib-eye steak, there was no arugula, but they didn't warn me and they didn't apologize, the yota was too fresh, the Russian salad, forget it, we ordered two beers, and they arrived after three requests. It has an enviable location, and lots of tourists pass by, easy prey to the name and tradition (past and present). All this topped off with a bill that doesn't give you anything away. I was disappointed, but at least now I know.
