About this place Historic Boutique Hotel Cattaro

Located in the heart of Kotor's charming Old Town, this boutique hotel offers accommodation in one of Montenegro's most picturesque destinations. Situated at Trg od Oružja (the main square), guests are perfectly positioned to explore the medieval architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, and waterfront views that make Kotor a magical travel destination. As a gay-friendly hotel, it provides a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ travelers visiting Montenegro. Kotor itself is a small, intimate destination with a relaxed atmosphere—ideal for those seeking a quieter getaway compared to larger European cities. The hotel's boutique character suggests a more personalized experience than you'd find in larger chain accommodations, with attention to detail and local charm. The location puts you within walking distance of the town's main attractions, including the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, city walls perfect for hiking, and waterfront promenades ideal for evening strolls. For practical information and current details about amenities, room types, and services, we recommend visiting their website at cattarohotel.com. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, this accommodation provides a comfortable base for experiencing both the historic beauty of Kotor and the natural landscapes surrounding the Bay of Kotor.

Only downside were the overnight noise when the square was being cleane need to keep the window and balcony door shut.

The toilet smells like a sewer. Despite our numerous complaints, all they did was to spray deodorant and pour some bicarbonate in the drain in the toilet. Did it work? Of course NOT. Their excuse was they were fully booked (naturally)and couldn't give us another room. If you have booked a room in this hotel, check the toilet first......
