Hotel Hippocampus
Visitors frequently praise the hotel's friendly and welcoming staff, as well as its excellent location within the old town, making it convenient for exploring. However, a significant number of guests complain about considerable noise from nearby bars and clubs that can last until the early morning hours. Some also mention issues with unfinished design elements or a lack of advertised amenities like parking.

Located right in the heart of Kotor's old town, this hotel was excellent value for money and within walking distance of everything. Because the room overlooked the bar, music could be heard until 1 AM, but the hotel solved the noise problem with blinds. The sound was minimal, and since we arrived late, it didn't bother us much. There were also wooden beams in the ceiling, and woodworms were making noise inside them. Apart from that, it was quite clean. The waiters in the breakfast room, especially a Turkish lady, were very kind and attentive. I was very pleased and would choose this hotel again.
Very nice hotel!! Thank you
The location is excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is helpful. There is an elevator. Breakfast is good. There are two problems. One is the extremely loud music coming from downstairs. Earplugs are completely ineffective. The second is the refrigerator whose light never turns off. Even covering it with a towel couldn't dim the light.
Did my research before booking this hotel, so we knew there would be music at night and the hotel is in a medieval walled town. Having no cars about as we walked the streets was an absolute joy. Yes the music was loud, but we knew this was going to happen, so it wasn't a problem. Anna welcomed us to the hotel and booked us into room 204. The room was perfect for us and Anna was very helpful during our stay. We enjoyed the breakfast, meats, cheeses, breads and scrambled eggs, lovely. We would happily go back.
Very expensive hotel with no reward worth the money. Very average rooms, no light at all, small window like a prison, music at night, bring earplugs that don't help at all, nice breakfast Sweet and hardworking staff, exciting and caring cleaning staff Not worth the price 🦋
We loved our stay here -- it was so close to everything and the staff was incredible. In particular, Bojan, went out of his way to ensure we had plans that made sense and that we ate at the right places. He and the team at the hotel really made our stay in Kotor so memorable!
Worst night ever Very loud at night, cheap pub below, like you sleep inside boom-box
