Taboo Bar

Taboo sits mid-street on Reguliersdwarsstraat and runs on happy hours: two-for-one twice a night (18:00-19:00 and 01:00-02:00 on weekends), which reliably packs the narrow room. The crowd is younger and more international than the street average, the music is chart pop you can sing to, and the bartenders pour with a heavy hand. In summer the party spills onto the pavement terrace. Since 2024 the same owners also run Taboo Kantine two doors down at number 43 — a quieter food-and-drinks annex that opens at four in the afternoon, useful when you want to eat something before the actual Taboo gets loud.
