About this place VERA

VERA - the self-styled Club for the International Pop Underground - has been the beating heart of alternative Groningen for decades, and these days it is also one of the most reliable places in town for a queer night out. The VERA Inclusief group programs the recurring Queerclub VERA parties, and during Pride week the basement hosts Queerclub Kelder. The rest of the calendar is indie, punk and electronic gigs with a famously open-minded crowd. Not a gay venue as such, but the queer nights are the real thing - check the agenda.

Best concert venue in the Netherlands. One of the few places where you can still watch no-nonsense bands. Friendly staff, never any hassle. Highly recommended.
