Great team, everyone was very friendly, excellent location, very clean and beautiful hostel, well worth it.

Everything was excellent, the only "but" is that the entrance is on a very steep street, other than that everything was fine

We had a great time in this wonderful hostel. The rooms are nice and the beds have a curtain. There is a rooftop bar and a sitting area at the top. Everything really nicely decorated and painted . The staff is mega friendly and helpful.

Let’s just say — if there were an award for “Most Rude and Noisy Hosts”, these people would win hands down. I’ve stayed in budget hostels, homestays, even jungle huts — but never seen hosts this allergic to basic manners. Morning peace? Forget it. The staff starts their gossip sessions at sunrise, right outside the rooms. It’s like a fish market with mops. How about keeping quiet until checkout time — 11 a.m., remember? We actually paid to sleep, not to be part of your breakfast drama. And guess what — the room next to the reception, which they happily charge extra for, is actually a front-row seat to their chaos. The cleaning lady seems to think “housekeeping” means “nonstop chit-chat.” And then she had the nerve to walk in and take my bedsheet and pillow before checkout time. Ma’am, who trained you? Voldemort? Early check-in? Not allowed. Late checkout? Absolutely not. But using the terrace or even a bathroom before check-in? Oh no, how dare a paying guest expect basic humanity! You treat guests like they’re trespassing aliens. And the highlight — the short-haired cleaning girl. I asked her for directions (a basic question, mind you), and she said, “I’m not working right now,” and turned away. Wow. Five-star arrogance on a zero-star salary. That’s not hospitality — that’s rudeness with a uniform. You’re not a hostel — you’re a live-action example of how not to run one. You’re a blot on the tourism sector, an anti-advertisement for portugal hospitality. When Generator or Room00 opens next door, offering real service and actual courtesy, it’ll be poetic justice watching guests walk right past your door. This place feels less like a hostel and more like a refugee camp run by people who hate guests. We pay you — not for charity, not for favors — but for respect, silence, and dignity. Three things this place clearly can’t afford.

Bed bugs... A group of 4 stayed for 2 nights and each of us were bitten, this is extremely disappointing because everything else was great.

Arrived with High Expectations, Only to Be Wrongfully Accused and Left in Tears I had high hopes for this hostel experience, but it turned out to be the worst memory of my trip. I feel really upset about it. • Unreasonably Strict Rules: Check-in isn't allowed before 3 PM—you can't even wait in the lobby. Check-out is strictly at 11 AM, and once you check out, you're "asked" to leave the hostel immediately. There's absolutely no human warmth here. • Wrongfully Accused with No Way to Defend Myself: This was the most devastating part. After 11 AM, I went to the kitchen because I had spoken to a staff member earlier and gotten permission— I just needed to quickly heat up my own food. But when the owner saw me, he started yelling at me without hesitation, accusing me of being "unauthorized." I repeatedly explained that I had the staff's approval, but he wouldn't listen at all and kept being aggressive. As a girl traveling alone, I’m already cautious about everything. To be accused like that for no reason, with no chance to explain—I was so wronged I almost cried. Did I pay to be treated like this? Honestly, I’d never recommend this place to anyone. It’s just asking for frustration.

Nice hostel for a short stay. Given the city's nature, this hostel is a peaceful place to stay. However, the conditions inside the rooms could use more attention. Two fans for four people doesn't seem ideal, especially considering the weather conditions. It's not like you're spending the whole day in your room, but at night, the room was very hot. Other than that, the place is nice and clean. Of course, they are strict with check-in and check-out times, and you'll need to check out 15 minutes early for cleaning, which feels a bit odd since you're not allowed to check in early.

I stayed only one night but the guests were great fun and we went out of course! The staff also so lovely. Shout out to Nikolaj and Inge in particular. Amazing people. If I come back to Albufeira I would stay here again. Great that it had a bar and nice showers and toilets.
