A great room at an inn! There is some creaking and street noise, which we didn’t mind but be aware if you are a sensitive sleeper. Room had a fan and heater (we only used the fan, with an open window it cooled the room easily). Great water pressure. Very cute restaurant and helpful & kind staff! Great location & walkable to train and other spots in town :)

We just came here for dinner. The service was outstanding, Zoe and Koby I think were their names. Food was delicious. Would recommend. Great serving sizes.

We only went here for dinner. Blackfriars has a very cozy and pleasant atmosphere. We especially liked the screens mounted on the walls, which depict a crackling fireplace and give the restaurant a warm and inviting ambiance. The menu isn't particularly extensive, but that was perfectly fine for us. The food was delicious overall, and the portions were adequate. One minor criticism concerns the fish and chips: it was served on a kind of serving tray lined with paper. As soon as sauce is involved, this type of presentation becomes somewhat impractical, as the paper quickly becomes soggy. However, this is a minor detail and not a big deal. In my opinion, the prices are a bit high, but not excessively expensive.

I visited Blackfriars in Inverness as a group of four and had a really enjoyable afternoon. The pub is beautifully decorated, with lots of character with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. Honestly its lovely, and not what I expected from the outside. (Such a pleasant surprise) We shared the langoustines and mussels to start, both of which were delicious and beautifully presented. The food throughout the afternoon was excellent, full of flavour and clearly prepared with care. Our main course was just as tasty. A special mention to Dee, the manager, who made us feel very welcome. She recommended an Albariño to go with our seafood, and it was a great choice – it paired perfectly with our starters. Forgot to mention the bread with flavoured butter is amazing. Overall the service was friendly and attentive without being over the top, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We’d happily return the next time we’re in Inverness. I have recommended to friends. A great spot for good food, good wine and a relaxed afternoon or evening 🍷 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The newly refurbished bar and restaurant provided a stylish, cosy, and relaxed atmosphere, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout our visit with friendly and attentive service. The menu was varied, offering a selection of small plates alongside starters, mains, and desserts. Our group enjoyed a range of dishes, and every plate was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The seafood dishes were particularly impressive, and the desserts were equally delicious. The drinks menu is extensive, with an excellent choice of wines, cocktails, and spirits, including a fantastic range of whiskies. Overall, a pleasant and very enjoyable experience.
