About this place Bar Atame

On Carrer del Consell de Cent, this gay bar gives you a fun night out in Barcelona’s queer scene.

It’s a big room with a proper dance floor, good for groups or if you’re flying solo and just want to get out. The crowd leans younger, campy, and energetic, but the vibe’s still relaxed and social.

Sunday drag performances are a regular thing here, a good reason to plan a weekend evening around it. You can dance, grab a drink, watch some cabaret—it’s a classic gay bar, plain and simple, with enough room to actually move and talk.

If you're checking out Barcelona’s queer nightlife, this place is about as straightforward as it gets, and that’s a good thing. Check their Facebook for event updates.

I felt more comfortable than a butterfly in a field, excellent treatment and excellent location.

In recent months, it's lost a lot of its former charm. Before, you'd be greeted by waiters who offered you a glass of cava when you walked in. Now, you get death stares. The only reason to keep going is Patri's performances. I think they should reconsider.
