Hotel Oscar (Room Mate)

Excellent experience at Room Mate Óscar. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Madrid, with everything within walking distance and excellent transport links for exploring the city. The service from all the staff was impeccable, always friendly and attentive, but I especially want to highlight the service in the pool and terrace area. From 7:00 pm onwards, the terrace transforms into a bar open to the public, creating a very pleasant atmosphere to relax with a good cocktail while enjoying one of the best sunsets in Madrid. It's an ideal place to disconnect and unwind, with a tranquil and modern atmosphere. The rooms are very well-equipped, comfortable, functional, and have everything you need for a pleasant stay. Without a doubt, a hotel I would recommend for both a leisure getaway and a visit to Madrid. I would gladly return. ✨🏙️🍸

Location: Perfect central location for visiting Madrid. Very convenient. Room: We stayed on the top floor (7th floor), which is the same floor as the rooftop bar. This means constant foot traffic right outside the door — footsteps, loud talking, etc. — from evening into the night. You can also clearly hear the loud music from the rooftop bar in the room. I wish we had known this before booking; I would have requested a different floor. Rooftop Bar: Nice and modern, with comfortable seating. The music is very loud (blasting from a single speaker) — a multi-speaker system would allow for better sound distribution at a more reasonable volume. There’s a tiny pool good for a quick dip but not for actual swimming. The view of the plaza and surrounding rooftops is average. Bar staff were friendly and drinks were decent. Services & Facilities: The room was kept clean with regular towel changes. Note: the shower gel was empty on arrival (shampoo was provided). We asked reception and they promptly left a new bottle. Only one complimentary bottle of water is given at the start of your stay, regardless of length. You can easily buy more at a nearby supermarket. Staff: Generally nice and friendly, but engagement felt a bit low. Staff were mostly behind the desk focused on their screens. Food: We didn’t try the hotel’s offerings. Like most hotels, breakfast and in-room items tend to be overpriced compared to local cafés. Overall, the hotel is well-located but the top-floor noise was a significant downside for us.
