Rössli

Rössli is the bar of Bern's Reitschule, the self-managed alternative and cultural centre by the river on Neubrückstrasse. A rustic, unpretentious space known for live music, cheap drinks and a left-alternative crowd, it is also one of the city's most active queer-friendly venues — hosting regular drag nights (Drag Bar im Rössli), the Disco Ribelle and Frauenbeiz women's evenings and other queer programming. It is a mixed alternative bar rather than a dedicated gay venue, but its steady calendar of LGBTIQ events makes it a reliable part of Bern's queer nightlife.
