The location of the hotel is amazing. So close to the banhof One problem only is that the rooms are not very big but they are very nice I went to it 2 times One time when the name was still walhala
We stayed three nights but overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The pros: self-check in was easy, luggage lockers are available, the bathroom was nice, good location-a 6 min walk from Zurich HB. The cons: The bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable for North American standards, the mini fridge did not work our entire stay (and it was a reason we booked this hotel! Extra disappointing since restaurants are so expensive in Zurich), only one of us could get the wi-fi to work as I couldn't receive a SMS code while abroad so I hotspotted from partner's phone. A code for the wifi provided in the room would've just been the most streamlined way of providing wifi. What really disturbed us was receiving a scam Whatsapp message just days prior to checking in from "Christine Schmidt" with our exact hotel stay dates asking us to click a link to provide more details to confirm our stay or risk cancellation. Additionally, we received a scam email after our stay about our upcoming stay-be aware of the risk for scam! The Whatsapp message nearly fooled me since hotel itself did communicate via Whatsapp.
My wife and I stayed temporarily while visiting Zurich. It's located right in front of the tram station. The hotel offers self-check-in, but the process was easy, and the information provided via WhatsApp and email was very helpful. The room was clean, had an elevator, worked well with air conditioning, had stable hot water, and the bed was comfortable. The only downside for my wife and I was that the pillows were too soft.
Excellent location. Easy access. Excellent for getting to the hotel from the airport. It drops you off at the door!!! Very convenient. I recommend it.
Good location and an innovative approach (online check-in, virtual keys, etc.), everything worked smoothly. The bed was comfortable. The room was small and dark, with poor ventilation. As a result, towels did not dry properly, and it was a bit uncomfortable that the room service was only provided every three days. The air felt stale, and the overall price seemed relatively high for the conditions
Six of us arrived on a flight from the US at 6:00 a.m., 8 hours before check-in time. But the hotel made lockers available to us which allowed us to store our things and then go explore the city. Because we were so conveniently located to Old Town, as well as do the train station, it was a cinch to get around. The beds were comfortable, the pillows amazing, the blankets also like a cloud. And the bathroom was beautiful. We couldn't have been happier. It's a little hard to rate service because everything is done remotely and electronically, so we never really interacted face-to-face with anyone, but the staff was responsive and flexible in their willingness to use WhatsApp, which for us was the best way to communicate. One more benefit was that once we were able to figure out the key system and admit ourselves into the lobby, they had some comfortable chairs and tables for us to gather our thoughts and make a plan for the balance of the day until we would finally sleep that evening. So we appreciated that refuge from the rain.
Excellent room.. amazing roof terrace! Clean, big comfy bed, lovely bed linen! Great shower , big bathroom. Great air con, fridge, coffee machine and kettle! Easy check in and out! The location was perfect.. team stop right outside to, railway station, airport, even the zoo! There is no staff on site which was fine for us. No frills such as a bar or restaurant, no breakfast.. but we loved it. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in! Xx
