Maldron Hotel Belfast City

The hotel was in a decent enough location, close to what we wanted to do and the staff were nice and friendly but the room was really not clean. I wouldn’t have liked to have gone over it with a blue light. The coffee cups were filthy with stains on them, the shower water poured out the tray when you showered. The door inside the bathroom looked like an animal had been locked in and was trying to eat the door, it was all chewed. There were marks all over the walls, paint coming off, There was also pen marks over the curtains and lastly when we were leaving I dropped my bottle so went to pick it up and noticed under the table was another holder for a key card - I had mine in my pocket and rechecked it wasn’t mine so it’s obviously not being cleaned properly. Wouldn’t stay in it again and absolutely wouldn’t recommend it either given it was almost £500 for 2 nights.

No complaints everything was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Staff seemed to jump in wherever needed Good food. Location great as we attend shows in the opera house. Ten minute walk from the train station.

Breakfast has a good selection

Room was good. Clean, but a little small for 3 people, but a small room is what I expected for center city. View was nice and room was surprisingly quiet for 1st floor in a major city. Sink was a little short, so water splashed out a bit. Shower had one of those half enclosures that seem to be common in Ireland so water splashed out a little there too. Bed was comfortable but pillow wasn't high enough for a side sleeper. Air conditioning is programmed to stop after 90 minutes so I woke up sweating in the middle of the night. Made room colder before bed on second night and I slept all the way through. Breakfast was good but they seemed a little short staffed in the breakfast room so I had to wait for coffee mugs to be replaced. Parked in Great Northern Parking deck that was a 4 minute walk away. Hotel discount covered about half the parking fee. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. On the whole, it's a good hotel despite minor inconveniences.

Perfect location, you can reach the city center and many shopping opportunities in 5 minutes.

Stayed here from Wednesday here until tomorrow our card key wouldn't work for the rook we paid for they upgraded us no extra fee for all three nights to the executive room. The place from start to finish is beautiful! The atmosphere close to the city centre. The girls at reception including bar and resteraunt staff are an absolute delight and would do anything to help! There's two lovely ladies one with dark brown hair another we lady who is so accommodating (all the staff are just fantastic as well) will definitely be back not to mention the food I've never tasted anything as nice ! Out of this world especially the steaks and blades of beef plus the prices aren't that bad either ! You near enough could live in the hotel as a holiday itself instead of going around the city the staff are a joy you will go a long way to find anyone as nice 👍 thankyou for a beautiful stay guys !

Great sleep and quality breakfast .location very central but not at all noisy .Spotless modern hotel and value for money. Would recommend to others visiting Belfast.
