What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the Townhouse Exeter for its excellent location, cleanliness, and the attentive service provided by Ken, with many appreciating the comfortable beds and tasteful decoration. However, some guests have found certain rooms to be very small with inconveniently placed electrical outlets and limited space for luggage.

Exeter Townhouse is very well positioned for both Exeter St Davids and Exeter Central Station. The house has been stylishing furnished and decorated. I stayed 4 nights in single bed room 7. The bed was super comfy with a nice touch of an aromatherapy pillow spray that could be used for aiding sleep. Room very attractive and bath a luxury after days walking. I regretfully didnt try the breakfasts there, as not a breakfast person. The host and owner Ken was charming and very engaging. A great place to stay and Exeter is a good base for many places. I hope to return and would definitely stay at the Townhouse

After friendly welcome Ken carried my luggage upstairs and showed me my lovely, clean, bright, spacious room in this beautiful and probably listed victorian house of great character. Comfortable bed and silence at night (secondary double glazing). Ken - i suggest you close the hot water inlet to the washbasin a little as I found I could only get water that was cold (good) or very hot (not so good). I'm sure this will be fixed by the time people read this.

Amazing place to stay, beautifully finished rooms with love poured into each one of them. Nice easy access to the town and the train station being just down the road this is a perfect place to stay for those travellers looking to get a good rest.

Sadly we only had 1 night here. Great room in a perfect location. Very quiet. Wonderful breakfast and host.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in room 8 (top floor) of Townhouse Exeter. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the hot water and water pressure were dependable. It was easy to walk to all the city sights as well as café and restaurant options yet it was quiet at night. Bonuses: Ken's warm welcome and recommendations, the room's artwork and the view of St. David's church from window. [When we return, we'll use their direct website, instead of going through a 3rd party broker.]

Such a gem, tucked away but super close to everything. Very clean and comfortable - loved the crisp cotton sheets. I will be staying here again.
