Perfectly positioned a stone throw from the Quay, or the town centre of Exeter. I had a single room which was adequate for a short stay. Room was tidy & clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is served until 11am which is great if u want a lie in, & the staff were friendly and helpful. Pub below hotel has a great traditional pub feel. Would definitely stay here again.

Fast, friendly service. I had the chicken, leek and ham hock pie which came out hot and was very tasty. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is in a very convenient location close to the city centre and cathedral. It is a historic building but we stayed in the fairly modern extension, which was a nice, spacious room with good facilities for tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was plentiful and you could order from a good range of cooked options including full English. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay and would like to highlight several issues. Firstly, the parking situation was unclear and poorly handled. Upon arrival, we were told we had no choice but to pay to unload, which felt unaccommodating and off-putting. Secondly, the old section of the hotel felt unsafe. The stairs were hazardous, making it difficult to carry luggage, and my partner slipped multiple times. Our room had a large gap under the door, poor ventilation, and an unusable shower that remained dangerously hot. In the newer section, our relatives also experienced issues, including a narrow, awkward entrance that caused injury. Finally, our restaurant experience was very disappointing. Staff were rude and unwelcoming, and we felt uncomfortable throughout. Ordering was inflexible, drinks were delayed, and service was poor with no check-ins. Cleanliness was also an issue, as glasses provided were dirty and had to be replaced without apology. Checkout was abrupt with no basic courtesy. Overall, we would not recommend this hotel and would not stay again.

We booked 3 rooms as the price was so well priced Each room was so well appointed and very clean The staff were all excellent, they we so polite and helpful I felt that they took the job seriously and wanted to offer the best possible experience

Popped in for a bite to eat and drinks 🥤 had an amazing meal severed promptly , friendly staff especially Nigel who was on the bar couldn't do enough for us.

Fabulous Xmas girlie weekend was had by myself and friends. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Food was lovely and staff couldn't have been more helpful even when extremely busy. This was my 2nd stay and cannot fault this hotel. Location is perfect. Room upgrades are fab for the price in a busy city centre.. Looking forward to my next trip.

Rooms are quite spacious, beds are very comfortable. Staff are brilliant. Very attentive and polite. And the food is very nice, especially the hunters schnitzel. Great place.
