About this place The Duke of Wellington

One of London’s oldest gay pubs, this Balls Pond Road spot has been pouring pints since 1842. Now it's a neighborhood fixture for queer locals.

The drinks menu is a good one, with real ales, ciders, and a thoughtful wine list. It's the kind of place you can actually relax with a pint, not shout over club music.

They’re serious about food too. The kitchen runs pop-ups and has a standing partnership with Yolk, a modern British diner. Yolk does simple, well-made dishes with a bit of personality.

This isn't just a place for a quick drink; it’s a proper pub, and a friendly one. If you want to know what’s on, or when Yolk is serving, check their website.

The food and coffee are delicious, the staff very nice. My fave pub around the office to celebrate with colleagues at lunch. Ty!

Disappointing experience overall. I hosted a dinner for six, and we were all looking forward to a Sunday roast. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, all the roast options apart from the beef and vegetarian roast were unavailable, which was very frustrating and significantly limited the menu. We also had to wait around 10-15 minutes for our table to be prepared, despite having a booking, and the gentleman serving us was not particularly friendly or welcoming, which added to the disappointment. As locals, we were excited to enjoy a good Sunday roast in Marylebone, so it was a shame that the experience fell short of expectations. I hope these issues can be addressed, as the restaurant has a great location and potential.

First time trying this pub with my work colleagues. Nice cosy pub. Good selection of drinks. Food is available I think but we didn't order any. Good atmosphere. Traditional London pub. Staff are nice and friendly. Service was quick even for a Thursday evening after work drink in the summer. Would visit here again.

Beautiful modern pub, great pint of Asahi/Guinness and the staff was extra friendly! Definitely recommend.
