About this place Sea Containers London

Sea Containers London is a design hotel on Upper Ground, on the South Bank of the Thames next to Blackfriars Bridge. It occupies a former shipping-company office block, and Tom Dixon designed the interiors with a nautical, ocean-liner theme. It is a mainstream luxury hotel that is gay-friendly, not a gay venue. River-facing rooms look across to the City and St Paul's. The National Theatre, Tate Modern and the Southbank Centre are all walkable. Google reviews average 4.5 from more than 5,000. Soho, the main gay district, is about 20 minutes on foot over Waterloo Bridge, and Vauxhall's clubs are a short ride west.

This hotel is located right beside the Thames riverside walk, making it a great choice if you want to stay in a lively area along the river. It is about 30 minutes from central London attractions such as Palace, Westminster, The British Museum, and St James's Park. Despite being a bit farther from the main tourist sites, I really enjoyed staying here because the area was quieter and more relaxing

I really loved this hotel. From the moment we checked in, everything was clean and had a great atmosphere. But for me, the best part was the staff. Every single person was amazing—friendly, professional, and always ready to help or answer any questions. From the doorman and the reception team to every server at the bar and restaurant, everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Their exceptional service truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

The hotel was great. Big rooms with plenty of space and huge bathroom with good amenities. The location was perfect for traveling all around. The only disappointment was no complimentary gifts not for our daughter or for turn down service. I am used to receive them in 5 stars hotels. But all the rest was great.
