Village Hotel Reading

Great hotel, staff attentive, good location. All round excellent. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Village Hotel Reading from 3–4 May and had a really good experience overall. The room was clean and quite nice, and it was great to have access to the gym and pool as well. Eve at the front desk was absolutely amazing - we had an issue with the booking system, and she went out of her way to make sure we had a room, parking was sorted, and everything else we needed was taken care of. My mother-in-law was in the hospital for an emergency, and Eve helped us manage this stressful situation by making sure we didn’t need to worry about having a room and parking permit. She was fantastic and really helped make a stressful situation feel much easier. Eve’s kindness and service made a big difference to us. We also had a follow-up question the next day, and Dan at the front desk was super helpful in helping us address a parking question and making sure myself and my father-in-law were sorted. Absolutely fantastic service from Eve and Dan - thank you!

It’s not a four star hotel but more a leisure centre with rooms above. Very loud and little information and signage. Everything’s self check in and QR codes. They charged my account three additional times for the room I booked. Lucky, I had the money in my account so these charges didn’t bounce, but be aware! Badly run! Would not stay again

A very good hotel with a great gym and access to riverside walk with beautiful views. Only minus was a fairly poor breakfast selection.

There is something about this hotel that just makes it stand out from many others. The room and facilities are top notch. Parking available on a first come first serve basis. Meals a bit on the pricey side but not bad at all. The staff very friendly and helpful. Big screen for football lovers in the restaurant -lobby area.

Fantastic stay! The best part about this hotel is definitely the facilities. The gym and pool are top-tier—much better than your average hotel fitness centre. The rooms are modern, the bed was super comfy, and I loved having a Starbucks right in the lobby. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Signed up to the gym a few months ago, it's great, new equipment, decent pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room and friendly staff. Laura is always a welcoming everyone with a big smile

I've stayed here when it was the crowne plaza and it wasn't great. Stayed here now. It's a village hotel. It's bright, fresh comfortable. Daniela on reception was awesome as an absolute pain in the neck. I must have gone back to her three to four times to ask her multiple questions and she was just awesome. Calm kind, really appreciate the guidance and the patience.

Very nice atmosphere, exceptional food, and outstanding service. The general manager and all the staff — especially Shankar — made sure everything was running perfectly throughout our dinner. The hotel is absolutely wonderful, with very high standards for the rooms and swimming pool. Absolutely incredible service.
