Sapporo Rainbow Pride est le week-end de la Fierté de Hokkaido, organisé par le comité exécutif de Sapporo Rainbow Pride. Il comprend un défilé partant d'Odori Park à travers le centre de Sapporo et un espace "Rainbow Street" avec des stands, une scène et des jeux. Sapporo a organisé son premier défilé en 1996, devenant la deuxième ville du Japon à le faire après Tokyo. Ainsi, 2026 marquait le 30e anniversaire. L'événement a lieu chaque année en septembre.
L'édition 2026 s'est déroulée les 26 et 27 septembre, avec le défilé le 27. Kyodo a rapporté qu'environ 800 personnes ont parcouru un itinéraire d'environ 3 km, beaucoup portant des pancartes "Oui à l'égalité du mariage". Cette question est particulièrement importante ici : en 2021, le tribunal de district de Sapporo est devenu le premier tribunal au Japon à déclarer l'interdiction du mariage homosexuel inconstitutionnelle. Les dates de 2027 n'avaient pas encore été annoncées au moment de notre vérification.

Parade Participation
Participants can join the parade by simply showing up on the day. However, due to safety and traffic regulations, the number of participants may be limited, so it's advisable to get a wristband at the reception on the day.
