Hôtel Victoria Bâle

A few days spent exploring the (old) city and visiting museums. Pleasant welcome with concierge service. The only slight drawback: if your room overlooks the train station, you can hear the trams.

A pleasant short stay in Basel; the hotel is perfectly located for exploring the city on foot. A very warm welcome, a well-maintained, clean, and quiet room with comfortable bedding, and excellent breakfast service with quality products to start the day off right.

I'm a restaurant manager myself and place great importance on customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, today I experienced very unfriendly service from a young woman. She was very rude when clearing the table and taking my wine order. Later, I wanted to order a grappa and asked which grappas they offered. The answer was: "I don't know, I don't have time." Luckily, a very nice and professional waiter named Erik came along, and I was able to order from him. It's a shame... It's very difficult to find good staff these days. Costs are constantly rising while revenue is constantly falling – and all because we lose customers every day due to staff who have no interest in generating revenue. Nevertheless, I'll give the restaurant another chance and look forward to my next visit.

It was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is in a very strategic location, close to the city center on foot and opposite the train station. The reception staff couldn't be friendlier and always willing to help. They are very efficient. The room was great, and the breakfast was too. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Victoria in Basel, booking two Classic Queen rooms. The hotel is clean and welcoming, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of both sweet and savory options; the bread was especially noteworthy, truly delicious. The hotel's location is excellent, especially thanks to the free Basel Card, which allows you to easily get around the city. Its proximity to the train station is convenient for reaching neighboring cities. It's true that the trams are a little audible, but they weren't bothersome at all. Basel is a charming and elegant city, and our stay was truly pleasant. We highly recommend the Hotel Victoria for both its location and its hospitality.

The Victoria Hotel is very well located, close to the train station, buses, and trams. The hotel is very clean, with friendly and competent staff who are easy to deal with even without speaking the language. There's a bar and restaurant on the ground floor; it's a shame they don't stay open longer. The room and bathroom are well-equipped. We'll definitely be back when we're back in Basel.
