Bogotá's cruising scene mostly happens indoors, at saunas and sex clubs in and around Chapinero. You can find outdoor cruising in some parks, but it’s riskier than staying inside. Plus, Bogotá's high altitude means nights are cold year-round, which makes outdoor activity less appealing than in warmer cities.
Indoor spots
The Chapinero sauna and sex club circuit is where most of the organized cruising in Bogotá takes place. These spots are old, run pretty well, and get busy on evenings and weekends. Entry is cheap—barely anything in USD or EUR. Facilities vary, but the better ones are clean and have a steady crowd.
Some Chapinero venues have dark rooms along with regular sauna facilities; others are more like dedicated sex clubs. Both types are listed below.
Parks
Parque Nacional Enrique Olaya Herrera, Bogotá's big central park, has areas where people cruise, especially after dark. During the day, it's a normal park for families and joggers. Standard outdoor precautions are important: don't bring valuables, pay attention to what's around you, and remember that Bogotá’s cold nights make long outdoor stays uncomfortable.
The indoor options are simply more practical and much safer for most visitors.
The venues

Indoor venues: stick to house rules. No phones in play areas is typical, and condoms are available. Use Uber to get to and from these places—that's true in Bogotá even more than in some cities, given the taxi situation we talk about in the main city guide.
Because of the altitude and cold evenings, it’s smart to dress for the walk between your Uber and the venue. You'll need a jacket in Bogotá after dark, no matter the season.
