Rio’s saunas share a lot with its beaches: a regular stop between a day in the sun and dinner. You’ll find them from Ipanema to Copacabana and downtown, each with its own vibe and crowd.
Rio G Spa
This is probably the one most tourists go to. It's well-kept, in a good Ipanema spot, and there's no escort policy. You get a dry sauna, steam room, private cabins, video room, dark room, gym, and massage. It’s a good stop after the beach, before dinner.
Termas Leblon
A bit more upscale, in Leblon, the neighborhood just west of Ipanema. It has a steam room, dry sauna, jacuzzi, relaxation areas, and private cabins. It’s well-maintained and feels a step up from some of the others.

Club 117
This place is more of a mix: a bar, restaurant, steam room, dry sauna, swimming pool, private cabins, and live performances, including DJ sets on party nights. It stays open until 5am then. It's near the Lapa nightlife area in Glória.
Sauna Botafogo
This is more of a local spot. It’s a converted residential space, with an older crowd, and no frills. You’ll find a dry and wet sauna, video room, and open areas. Regulars like it for its straightforward experience and no tourist pricing.

Chupps
This one runs all day and all night. Check their Instagram for the schedule of themed parties (they partner with Casa Preta on weekends). Good for when other places have closed down for the night.
Seven Cruising Bar
Located on the second floor downtown, this is a cozy bar with a U-shaped dark corridor and private cabins. It draws a younger crowd (20s–40s), mostly local, and it’s a shirtless kind of place. It’s more bar than sauna, but it functions similarly.

A Note on Pricing
Prices here are much lower than what you’d pay in Europe. Entry is typically 70–150 BRL. Some places include a towel and locker; others charge extra. The exchange rate makes it an even better deal if you’re paying in USD or EUR.
