The location is nice and central, the rooms are really spacious and comfortable with nice finishes. Beds are great! Everything that we needed was already in the room. The staff and people were all really helpful and offered fantastic service! Loved it here! Will definitely come back!
I go to Calgary every 5 weeks for over a year now. I only stay at Hotel Arts. It's doesn't get better for location, accommodations, staff. Anyone that gives Hotel Arts less than 5 stars...I hope to god that person never returns. PS...I worked in the hotel industry for a developer, operator, owner. I've stayed a lot of places and see a lot of things I didn't see before being in the industry.
We absolutely LOVED Hotel Arts! We decided to do a staycation for our anniversary and booked through TravelZoo for a discounted rate and F&B voucher. We stayed for one night in the King Room with balcony. We were on the 7th floor and in a corner room by the elevators and ice machine. The noise was insulated really well and didn't bother us at all! Room was spacious and clean and the King bed was very comfy. Front desk staff were super friendly and helpful at check in and made brunch reservations for us as well as accommodated an early check in and late check out. We did a poolside reservation and the service was excellent and cocktails were delicious! Was a perfect temperature in there for wintertime. We went to Freestyle after for happy hour and tried the YYC EXP tasting menu and it was incredible. Again, great service. It was our anniversary and they gave us complimentary champagne which was a nice touch. We had brunch buffet at Yellow Door Bistro the next morning and it was phenomenal. Unique items and everything was hot and fresh. Great service as well. Check out was easy and everything was billed correctly. I loved our stay and can't wait to go back!
Great overnight stay in Calgary on the way to the Banff/Jasper area. Located downtown, the hotel was easy to find, offered free parking, and featured a swimming pool. Our room had a balcony too! The on-site dining, Freestyle Social Club, had good food and stayed open late.
I was disappointed in this hotel. I’d reccomend le Germain instead. The shower pressure was so strong that it felt like knives. The water was either so hot that I scalded my hands, or freezing cold. I was happy to see local Routine bath products, but the dispenser configuration made it almost impossible to use them. The room service food arrived cold. We put leftovers and some drinks in the fridge, and everything was frozen solid in the morning. We heard people in the hallways slamming doors and talking until 3am. The air conditioner was louder than a jet engine.
Great location for this lovely hotel. Rooms were spacious and spotless. Nice facilities and front staff were courteous and friendly. There are good restaurants close by. The only negative is that there is a large building site right behind the hotel which means noise in the early morning. I suspect that this construction will go on for a long time.
Terrible service!! We had to switch rooms twice first room the carpet was soaked and room was musty. The second rooms air conditioning unit didn’t work. No more rooms available so we had to stay in a hot room with no ac.
excellent boutique hotel near BMO Centre. we would come again
