About This Event

Toronto’s Pride is huge, one of the biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations anywhere. It’s a festival that runs for weeks, ending with the Pride Parade on the last Sunday of June. That parade alone pulls in over 1.5 million people, marching and watching along a route that cuts through the Church-Wellesley Village.

Pride in Toronto started in 1981. They even hosted WorldPride in 2014. That really cemented the city’s place as a top LGBTQ+ spot globally.

Expect the Dyke March, the Trans March, and Blockorama, which is their well-known Black LGBTQ+ stage. Beyond that, there are community events, parties, and performances at dozens of places around the city. The parade itself goes down Yonge Street, from Bloor all the way to the waterfront. Church Street and the Village are where everyone gathers. If you’re LGBTQ+ and visiting Canada, Pride weekend in late June is a major date on the North American calendar.
