JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa

Amazing resort and will probably return every year, but I removed two points because their elevators are not good. One of much smaller ones at the end of the hall is scary, we got stuck in it. Breakfast should be improved.

We recently stayed at this motel for five days. The view was beautiful, and the property itself was very nice. We truly enjoyed the scenery and many aspects of our stay. However, there were several issues that affected our experience. While tipping is common and appreciated, at times we felt uncomfortable because some employees seemed overly focused on receiving tips. One situation that stood out was at the pool, where an employee stood nearby watching us for an extended period of time without appearing to be working, which made us feel uncomfortable. We also noticed that our room only had a half-used box of tissues when we arrived, and it ran out by the second day. Small details like this should be addressed to improve guest comfort. Another disappointment was the cost of food. Considering the price of the stay, we believe breakfast should have been included. The breakfast prices were very high, and many items throughout the property seemed significantly overpriced. In addition, some areas of the motel were not as clean as we expected. Overall, while the location and views were wonderful, improvements in customer service, cleanliness, room supplies, and pricing would make the experience much better for future guests.

I Really was not impressed by the resort. Room was not clean on a daily basis. Had to notify front desk couple of times. Been to other JW's and this one was not worth the price. Beside the extra charges at the end, food quality not worth the money. The only great thing for us was Javier Kann, the bellboy. He was on point every time I had to get my vehicle.

Amazing hotel

If you read my review, I either leave a good review or bad review. First time at all inclusive... Food isn't that great.. kids had fun, staff are great... at lobby watching the Mexico play world cup.. Thursday 06/11/26, full broadcast with sounds in the lobby. Come Korea game, not playing at the lobby, when to sports bar. Game was playing, no broadcast, music was playing. Asked for the broadcast, staffs trying to make it happen but couldn't make it work. multimillionaire company can't afford some who can manage media? Not worth it!

As Platinum Elite members we have stayed in many Marriott brand hotels. The JW Marriott Cancun is an exceptional property. We were upgraded to a mini suite on checkin without asking, and the room had an individual balcony and an ocean view. The hotel grounds are exceptional with plenty of loungers offering full sun and plenty of shade. Cabanas were also available in the grounds and on the beach for additional fee. The beach was easily accessible and well maintained. All of the staff that we interacted with offered wonderful service, but I would be remiss if I did not highlight a few specific individuals. Lourdes(Lulu) would great us every mourning at breakfast with a wonderful smile and genuine interest in our experiences. Gustavo and Hidalgo who looked after us as we soaked up the sun by the pool, and Freddy who would take care of us as we relaxed later in the evening listening to the live music in the lobby bar. We had a fabulous stay and would not hesitate to visit this location again.

Great service at this hotel! We are often given a lovely upgrade when we are here and the overall vibe is just relaxing. If you are looking for non-stop partying with obnoxious music playing all the time.... this is not your hotel. Quiet relaxation, great food, great service and just an overall lovely time. We don't drink so this hotel makes much more sense for people who don't drink much or feel value from all inclusive set up. Marriott next door is all inclusive and maybe a better choice for those wanting to party hard.
