Encore is a gay-friendly piano bar and lounge in Puerto Vallarta's Emiliano Zapata neighborhood. It’s a calmer alternative to the bigger clubs, a place for conversation, decent cocktails, and live music. They have live music and theatrical performances most nights. Daily drink specials, too, so there’s always something going on. The staff, all gay and lesbian, know how to make LGBTQ+ guests feel welcome. You’ll see a mix of people here, both LGBTQ+ and allies, all hanging out together. Puerto Vallarta’s gay scene mostly happens in Zona Romantica and the blocks around it. Bars and clubs there run the gamut, from dance floors that pump all night to quiet lounges. Encore slips right into that mix. It's a place for classic cocktails and a show, a friendly spot that isn't a full-on nightclub. You can sit outside, too, which is a nice touch in the Puerto Vallarta heat.
