This South End bed and breakfast is a comfortable home base for LGBTQ+ travelers. It's in an 1860s brownstone, restored to mix old-house character with some modern updates. Think of it as a low-key alternative to a big hotel.
You get hotel amenities, just in a smaller space. The best part is the rooftop hot tub. It has skyline views—a good spot to unwind after hitting the city or just hanging out in the South End. The neighborhood itself is known for its welcoming vibe, with plenty of places to eat and drink, and a lot of LGBTQ+ community spots nearby.
If you like a more curated, stylish stay with personal touches, this kind of place works well. It's a comfortable and different option from the usual hotel, whether you're in Boston for a weekend or a longer trip. It feels both distinct and homey.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Clarendon Square during a recent trip to Boston. The inn is beautiful, our room was upscale, spotless, and very comfortable, and the service was exceptional. The owner was especially friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The South End location was perfect for exploring the city. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming boutique hotel experience in Boston.
Wow- this is a very special place. The Clarendon Square is inviting, pristine and luxurious, and made our South End trip so memorable. Our room was plush and spacious with a very comfy bed, sleek bathroom and a stocked mini fridge. It overlooked the street but was quiet and private, with blinds that kept the room dark. The owner, Stephen, helped arrange special extra touches for our arrival for the birthday we were celebrating, and was so such an accommodating and helpful host. The lounge area is airy and inviting, like relaxing in a friend's comfy living room. Everywhere in the home you see the most beautifully restored architecture and elegant, thoughtful accents. The rooftop hot tub and deck are stunning, which we enjoyed both in the evening to watch the skyline and in the morning with a cup of coffee. The location is convenient and in such a desirable neighborhood. It was just a perfect getaway. We can't wait to return and are already planning when we can get back. Thank you Stephen and Bobby for sharing your beautiful Boston home with us!
By far the best place we’ve stayed during our time travelling across the US. Located on a beautiful and quiet street in south end, this boutique hotel was the perfect spot to explore Boston. We stayed in room 1 which was beautifully decorated, spacious, and squeaky clean. We loved how much room we had for our stay and the thoughtful details. Stephen our host was very helpful, providing tips and recommendations and letting us check in early and leave our bags for an extra few hours while we continued to explore. All in all, a fantastic stay — we’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a gorgeous, central, and convenient stay in Boston!
Gorgeous place on a lovely street. Every detail thoughtful and beautiful. Recomend without reservation. We will be back.
What a great place to stay, such a beautiful house. Stephen is the perfect host! Thank you.
We had such a lovely time here, the accommodations were exactly what we were looking for; cozy yet elegant with a luxurious spa like bathroom. The rooftop hot tub was icing on the cake. The neighborhood was adorable with everything you could need nearby. We walked to Fenway, the Symphony, MIT and easily caught the train everywhere else. Stephen was super attentive and thoughtful and his list of restaurant recommendations are spot on. Such a great place to stay, we'll be back!
This was my second stay at Clarendon Square B&B and it is truly perfection. Housed in a beautiful historic townhouse in the South End, it’s in a lovely neighborhood and easily walkable to many parts of the city. The living room and library are beautifully and tastefully decorated, while st the same time comfortable and inviting. The suite that my companion and I shared was spectacular with a bay window, very comfortable bed and an extension at the end of which was a wonderful deep bathtub. There were snacks and drinks as well. Last but not least there was a rooftop terrace with a hot tub. We spent a good amount of time chatting with Stephen, one of the owners. He was very personable, charming and accommodating.
