Meco Hotels

I stayed for three nights, and the service was the worst I've ever experienced. Even supermarket staff are much more helpful. The explanation of the luggage tags was so vague that I was worried about whether my luggage would be properly managed. There's a common area on the 7th floor with a kitchenette and a place to relax, but there was no explanation about it at check-in, and they wouldn't tell me where the refrigerator was unless I asked. Snacks and coffee were provided in the morning. The only good thing was that the bathrooms were clean and there were several of them.

My pillow felt like it had a dead cat in it - I had paper peeled on the windows and neighbouring bunks filled despite the hostel being empty (they crammed everyone in to one room by the look of it) and then my lovely room mates waking up at 3:45 am and acting like it was midday was the icing on the cake. Noisy, dirty, horrible sheets and to top it off the elevator was broken all morning. I’ve stayed in hostels before - I’ve stayed in pod hotels before - this is very much the former and is not worth the low cost for just how poor it is. Not even on a budget. The neighbourhood has lots of pizza and a 7-11 if that’s your thing.

Wonderful stay and at an amazing location. The staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean, the pods are comfortable and the lounge on the 7th floor was a great place to work in. Plus, they have complimentary green tea! I'll definitely be back here the next time I'm in Boston for work.

As a man traveling solo, I value a space that feels modern and private. Meco Hotels delivers exactly that. I chose the male-only floor, and the vibe was perfect—masculine, quiet, and sharp. It’s the perfect home base for a minimalist in the West End, for an independent guy who wants to be near the action but have a cool place to retreat to. If you’re looking for a stay that’s as bold as you are, this is it. Simple, stylish, and a total power move.

If you wanna stay somewhere that allows predatory people to stay in a hotel. This is a fabulous place to stay for that. Furthermore, when you ask for help, they say just apologize and don’t help you and you have to leave your luggage there then they call you the next day when you’re still being threatened saying they’re gonna throw your luggage away. They contributed to domestic violence and aggravated stalking. This has all been documented to my attorney as well.

Pod in the large men's room. Clever conviences everywhere! Easy to navigate and good options - top floor is community space & serves well for having a place to set up for remoting. Large, lockable personal storage to boot! Recommended!

Exceptional hostel, excellent location near the metro station, new and comfortable beds. Friendly and professional reception staff. The kitchen and living area on the 7th floor was very useful. I stayed 3 nights and, as I like to walk, I did everything on foot. I recommend it!

For 3 days/2 nights during which the bathroom wasn’t cleaned once and two full trash cans weren’t emptied. I had booked the 4 person female dorm, so it was a little more expensive than the 17 bed dorm, but still very pricey. The location is fantastic and walkable, the service at the front desk was good, and the beds were all right. It worked for what I wanted - a bed for 2 nights in a good location in Boston. The owner did reach out later and make things right.

This place is trash. Dirty rooms, run down hardware, the employees don’t seem to get breaks. The guy who runs it is a joke. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The pod space is small but clean and tidy. Considering how expensive the nearby hotels are, being able to stay for less than half the price is a huge plus. That said, the walls are thin, so your peace and quiet really depends on how considerate your neighbors are.

Really enjoyed my stay at Meco. I'd never done a capsule-style hotel before so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it, but it won me over pretty quickly. The pods are cozy and well set up, with individual lighting, power outlets, and enough privacy. The storage under the bed was a nice touch too, easy to access and felt secure. Overall it was way more comfortable than I expected. Location is genuinely great. North Station is basically at your door, and TD Garden, Beacon Hill, and the North End are all easy walks. Transit was also easy to use. For what you pay, it's incredible value. Boston hotels can get pricey fast, and Meco kept things affordable without any real trade-offs. Everything was clean and well maintained throughout my stay too. One thing worth knowing: bring earplugs. Not everyone is aware of pod room etiquette, and during the day there was pretty much always someone on their phone or talking in the pod room. That's on fellow guests, not the hotel, but it's good to come prepared. Solid choice if you want a comfortable, central place to stay without spending a fortune. I would definitely go back.
