Joy's Noodles & Rice

I ordered chicken satay, wonton soup, pad thai, vegetables, and mini eggrolls. They all tasted fine, but not great. Texture was off. Upset my stomach horribly. Will not come again.

Joy's is the best! Delicious noodles and Thai curry, generous servings, great value, nice and efficient service, pretty restaurant interior. A Lakeview classic. Tips from a regular: --BYOB is a great chance to save a bunch of money - they don't even charge a corkage fee! This makes Joy's the single best value in East Lakeview for a quality, sit-down restaurant (IMHO). --Outdoor seating is great in the summer. Out front on Broadway is fun, or they also have a lovely patio out back for those who prefer something quieter. --Joy's is huge and they're very efficient, so they always have tables available. If you ever find other restaurants with a long wait time on a Saturday night or after a Cubs game, go to Joy's!

I got the pad see ew with chicken. I really liked it. My friend got the pad Thai, tasted a bit odd. Large servings, and nice service.

Read the menu carefully they don’t prepare dishes traditionally.

Scrumptious. So good. I would suggest the pineapple fried rice because it’s absolutely the best I’ve had in Lakeview. Restaurant is cute too.

Love this cozy neighborhood spot! I tried the Pad Thai and a few curry dishes, and everything was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the patio is great for a sunny day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and being BYOB is a nice touch. Definitely coming back for more Thai favorites!

Delicious green curry with chicken , with a large portion at a great value price. We ordered green chicken curry with rice, spicy basil chicken with rice, and spicy basil noodles with chicken. The curry hit the spot with the right combination of flavors. We asked for less spice on the spicy basil noodles, which was probably a mistake, because there was not enogh spice. But that was our own fault. We will try it again soon!
