Wakamono
Wakamono is a sushi spot in Chicago's Boystown, bringing Osaka's refined cooking and look to North Broadway. This place feels like a classic Japanese sushi house, an upscale option in a neighborhood known for its open, friendly vibe. It makes sense here. Boystown has always been about inclusive eating and going out, and Wakamono slides right in. You'll get the kind of careful sushi prep you’d expect from a traditional place. The design leans into that elegance, too, so it’s for anyone who cares about a good meal in a nice room. Find it at 3317 North Broadway Street. Check wakamonosushi.com for the menu, hours, or to book a table.Features

Great vibes. Good food and next door to Wangs. The sushi is fresh and the beans they give you in the beginning are diving.
Wakamono is a wonderful spot to enjoy sushi, miso, signature cocktails, and apps! The ambiance is peaceful and calm yet cool and a vibe at the same time. The staff were really personable, kind, and helpful. I highly recommend it to those wanting to relax and enjoy delicious rolls and high quality fish.
Love this place, they have great sushi, fresh, variety and amazing atmosphere, definitely is a very good option for a casual outing.
I love the sushi here, it’s really top quality. The only issue with it is the pieces truly are too big for one bite, kind of ruining the experience. The bar connected it, Wangs, is amazing too! I suggest showing up about 30 mins before your reservation to enjoy a drink there. The staff is very friendly, and go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience.
