Denver Gay Ski Week 2027
About This Event
Denver Gay Ski Week is a winter circuit event. It draws people from across the US and internationally to Colorado's Summit County each January. You ski, you party.
It all happens at Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, or the wider Summit County ski area. That's about 90 miles west of Denver, straight down I-70. Days are for skiing and snowboarding. Evenings mean circuit parties, themed events, and meet-ups at resort spots. It pulls in serious skiers and circuit regulars. They want both.
This ski week has been around for decades. It's a fixture. January means prime Colorado ski season. The snow's usually best from mid-December through March. Arapahoe Basin, at 13,050 feet, often has snow until June. Good skiing plus a gay social scene makes it stand out.
Denver International Airport makes international arrivals easy. The drive from DEN to Summit County on I-70 is usually 90 minutes. But in heavy snow or if I-70 closes, it takes longer. Rent a car or take a shuttle to the ski areas. Hotels in Breckenridge, Dillon, and Keystone fill up fast for Ski Week. Book ahead.
