Hilton Garden Inn Chicago North Shore/Evanston

The Hilton Garden EVANSTON has become very unfriendly and not neighborly. They locked their doors on farmers market days and don’t allow locals to come in. The farmers market parallels their location in the parking lot, just west of them. I had an incident on the first day of farmers market last weekend on Saturday, May 2 I walked in with another guest, to use the restroom. I was rudely told to leave by a woman behind the front desk. I believe her name begins with a T. I cannot remember her full name though. It’s very disappointing that you are not Neighborly. I will never recommend a friend or family members or Northwestern colleague to come to your hotel again. I have multiple sclerosis and I needed to use the restroom. I was denied. Please keep in mind. EVANSTON is a lovely community that welcome All. The Hilton Garden does not welcome members of the community into their hotel and they did not care the circumstances. It was a very disappointing experience. This has never happened before, this is the first year of they’re locking the doors during farmers market. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Good place at a nice location. Close to major eateries and offices. Courteous staff and super friendly

I had a great stay. Pool was open for a long time which is nice since gives you time to use it. Everyone working was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. I will definitely stay here again. Very walkable area too.

Becareful when you upgrade your room. The price quoted was different than stated and $100 more than my original email confirmation. When I called the Hilton Care line, the only recommendation that they had was that I shouldn't have agreed to the room upgrade. For the same price and room type I would recommend Hyatt House a few blocks away. Free breakfast, you won't hear the train horns at 7am & real glassware. Rooms were dated and no glasses , just paper cups. When I asked for real glass cups they just gave me more paper cups.

They went back to having full service menus and possibly a la carte. Check with the servers during breakfast and dinner only

Had a wonderful stay from desk receptionist Tanieka was very helpful rooms very clean breakfast was so delicious highly recommend this hotel
