About This Event

Hudson Valley Pride isn’t like the big city versions. It's smaller, more intimate, set against the Hudson River and the Catskill foothills. This isn't just a party, it's a celebration of queer life in towns like New Paltz, Kingston, Beacon, and Poughkeepsie. The 2026 festival carries on a tradition of inclusion and advocacy here, in one of America's prettier regions.

You'll see a parade, an outdoor festival with live bands and DJs, drag acts, and family events. A vendor village highlights local queer businesses. At night, parties take over the old main streets. Expect wellness workshops, art shows, and interfaith services too. The whole thing moves at a slower pace. You can actually talk to people.

The Hudson Valley itself is worth sticking around for. Think farm-to-table restaurants, art museums like Dia Beacon and Storm King. There are hiking trails and historic houses like the Vanderbilt Mansion. Downtowns have antique shops, galleries, and cafes. You can wander for hours between events.

Getting here is easy. Metro-North trains run from New York City. Stewart International Airport (SWF) and Albany International (ALB) are options for flying. A rental car helps if you want to see a lot of towns, but many of the Pride hubs you can walk. Late spring usually means crisp, sunny weather, good for being outside.

If you want a Pride that mixes natural beauty with a real sense of community, Hudson Valley Pride 2026 is it. You get to celebrate queer identity among good scenery, art, and the kind of welcome that makes you want to come back.
