I wish to make a complaint about the checking in process I encountered when arriving for my stay at your Indianapolis Airport lodge on Thursday 20 May. I booked my room and request a complimentary ADA room on 27 May 2025. Confirmation was received by you that this request had been accepted, and I received an email booking confirmation on 27 May 2025. The booking confirmation stated that I had $0 and you had applied a discount of $122.75. when arriving at the motel late on Thursday 20 May, after an extremely long day travelling from the UK (at this point we had been awake for nearly 24 hours) I was told you had revoked that complimentary room and I would need to pay $753.90 for the room. This is totally unacceptable. Firstly, I had entered into an agreement with you, in good faith back on the 27 May 2025 for the cost of the rooms. It was your website which offered the complimentary room which I requested and you accepted. I took this offer in good faith. Unfortunately you have not. Secondly, it is totally unacceptable and a really poor practice to wait until the evening I arrive to let me know I need to find a further $753.90 for the additional room. I had budgeted my trip and this is a totally unexpected cost which I was not anticipated. Apparently you tried to call me on the day, and I was made to feel like it was my fault I hadn't accepted the call. However I was 10,000 feet in the air travelling to the USA. I have no idea why you waited until the day to tell me your offer, which I took in good faith of the complimentary room had been revoked. You had almost 12 months to tell me. An earlier warning would had given me greater opportunities to find alternative options whilst I'm in Indianapolis. Having sprung this on me at 10pm of the day of check in, after a long day of travel left me with no option. I am extremely disappointed with how you have handled this, and I find this practice from you extremely troubling. As a traveller, once I've entered into an agreement I would expect you to honour. So, please can you refund my $753.90 for the room that you originally stated was complimentary. I look forward to your response.
I do not know how Motel 6 Corporate allows this place to operate using their name. I warn everyone, do not stay at this place. The staff is not by any means qualified the welcome guests in, the worst up kept facility I ever saw. Although a non smoking facility, the whole place smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. The front door was smashed, with large pieces of glass exposed, the whole place was dirty and not maintained to standards for people to stay overnight. Scary looking people lurking the hallways. Motel 6 Corporate shut this place down.
If you are interested in seeing the Indy 500 and have any standards in which you care for safety and cleanliness do not at all consider this place. This is without a doubt the vilest hotel with the most unprofessional admin. I’ve ever encountered. More could be said but a member of the front office staff threw my license at me after struggling to understand details on our reservation. The bedding is damaged, the fixtures are rusted, the front door glass was smashed, the carpets are stained and soaked with mystery fluids, there are people smoking and lurking in the halls, and the entire building smells like cigarette and marijuana smoke. After explaining I couldn’t stay in that environment I left and was charged for a room I never used. I will be contacting the Indianapolis fire marshals on this facility.
This place has Bed Bugs. Do not stay! I got yelled at by the front desk for trying to get a refund, and was told I tore up the room because I found bugs in the mattress. There was blood on the mattress and some sort of crystals under the bed. I think it was drugs could have been bed bug bait. The hallways smelled like weed and there was trash and God knows what else under the bed. The room smelled of an awful stale smell. I checked in and went to the room and dropped my stuff off because I had to go to work. I came back that night and checked out the room and found blood bed bugs and God knows what so I left and canceled my stay at the front desk. The front desk didn’t cancel my stay. Continued to charge me for both nights. When I called I was rudely hung up on and then told there was no way I was getting a refund so stop trying to. Again stay away unless you want the bugs and an awful time. Motel 6 give me my 200$ dollars back you crooks!
The hotel was trying to cheat me out of my deposit and stay for the night. The only person trying to assist me with a solution was Peggy. She's amazing, the rest of them needs to be fired.
