Rooms were ok for the area, not much options. But no room cleaning service unless requested and no amenities at all, which for the price is a bit ridiculous
I highly recommend this hotel. It was extremely clean, which is one of the most important things for me when choosing a place to stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a tasteful countryside charm, and the overall atmosphere was very quiet, cozy, and relaxing. The service was very good, and overall we really enjoyed our stay. The only small downside is that the breakfast selection was quite limited, and when we had dinner at the bar, we waited a long time and the food was just okay. Other than that, it was a lovely experience. Clean, peaceful, well-kept, and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it.
Second time staying here and it's lovely. The remodel is very tasteful. Ate on site. The fries are sooo good. It's funny to rave about fries but they're delicious. Had great interaction with staff. Highly recommend La Tourelle if you're looking for a nice quality stay while near Ithaca.
Post-Renovation update: La Tourelle still delivers a charming, romantic experience. The updates do not detract from the inn we have come to know and love; the space is simply refreshed with modern touches. Renovation review update: La Tourelle remains lovely, romantic, and enjoyable as the renovations continue. I did not know what to expect with the work being done, but our stay was as wonderful as ever. It is a great place for a winter getaway, even while renovations are underway! Updating this review after our 3rd stay here. It just gets better every time! If you dream of escaping to a romantic apartment in the French countryside, you will fall in love with La Tourelle. Breakfast and dinner at the bistro are not-to-be-missed! The spa is a great treat to have on-site. It books up fast if you're looking for a spa treatment, but they allow you to use the sauna, steam, and relaxation room if you stay at the hotel. While you're there, grab a few of their house-made face masks! They're really special! The hotel is also very dog friendly! Original review: Lovely, romantic, relaxed, elegant vibe with an inspiring connection to the nature around you. La Tourelle is the perfect place to go for a pleasant and restorative getaway. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is friendly and engaging. The bistro is very well done, with cheerful staff and excellent food with many fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Highly recommend.
Amazing grounds and room, the bar was amazing with an awesome feel and the bartender Jodi is the best! The younger person who checked us in with long dark hair was super nice. Unfortunately, we had to leave with a bad taste in our mouth because the woman working on Sunday with blonde hair was very rude to us two separate times. First, about breakfast and then at checkout about the fridge. She just has the inability to apologize (even on behalf of her company) and we very abrasive. Everything, minus her, was perfect! An establishment as nice as this should hire people with natural empathy, or at least train them to have it.
