Lighthouse Lodge & Cottages

We love the Lighthouse. Great location. Especially the golf course. Dog friendly. Great staff. Excellent pool & jacuzzi. Beds are also very comfortable. Can't beat it for the money. We will be back 😎🥳🤠

A beautiful, well maintained property run by friendly and helpful staff- we very much enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse Lodge and Cottages, and would definitely recommend!

Dirty rooms with hair everywhere, spiders in the corners and even inside the wardrobe. They advertise themselves as pet-friendly, but if your dog barks, you’re threatened with having the police called. (Despite about 20 people mingling outside your cottage at all hours) Not sound proof in the slightest. You can’t heard when other cottages use the restroom etc. The bedding is old and worn, and the pillows are so high and uncomfortable that I woke up with a neck cramp. To make matters worse, the shower water was unbearably hot and impossible to adjust properly. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. I would not recommend this property and would not stay here again.

The location was great, however rooms were not what advertised. There were bugs in the room, and we saw that they were using their outside garage for storage of linens and roller beds. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable that we slept on a roller bed instead. There was no room cleaning service offered. Would not pay more than 130 dls a night for this. Fire Pitt area and the staff are great.

Had a wonderful stay and service was great. Rooms are cozy and it’s very close to the beach. Would stay here again for sure. Management really needs to add a key card to the hot tub. It’s known locally as the local free jacuzzi and after a long day working found myself in a crowded hot tub with lots of loud high schoolers on multiple nights.

We stayed here back at the beginning of 2026. The cottages were cute and we had a good experience with check in and the grounds. Everything was fine EXCEPT the hostess at the breakfast hall. She was a lunatic and acted like she was so busy and important but was doing a whole bunch of nothing. She kept bossing the chef around who was actually the only one doing any of the work. We felt so bad for him. I hope she’s not there anymore.

Like the layout of the hotel, quite and peaceful. Especially the fireplace in the room gives extra warmth and comfort. Plus parking in front of the room. So convenient.

This was the dirtiest place I've ever stayed, and I've stayed a lot of places. There was hair of all types in the sheets boogers around the bed The windows were broken. The toilet was backed up with feces overflowing everywhere. The tub was filled with mold, they moved our room The second one was not better. We were gaslit over the phone by the worker who told us to prove it before they moved us to the second room. It was a lot of effort to get them to get them to give us a partial refund. The pictures make the place appear so beautiful though its very untrue in real life.

This is my favorite place to stay in California. You're 1 - 1.5 blocks from the shore with tide pools and beachy walking/ running trails with boardwalks full of birds, wildflowers and ocean life. The rooms on the cottage side are so comfortable with high ceilings, gas fire place and spacious bathrooms. The grounds are peaceful and include gas fireplaces on a patio with couches. I do recommend entering via the side entrance to avoid scraping the car if your room is to the back. The rooms across the street are clean and nice, too (not as nice, but more affordable). There's a pool and hot tub. The staff are responsive and welcoming. Tea and coffee are serviceable and there's a good coffee/ hot dog place about a two-minute walk up Lighthouse Ave. We tried staying in another place just for a change and wound up leaving after seeing the room. Luckily Lighthouse had a vacancy.
